I've heard of this... trying to keep away from adding more shit to this than I've already put into it, but I will keep this one in mind if I really really need to stand and shoot.

The tripod is stable already... it's me bouncing the reticle around with every breath I take, the wind blowing on me, and who knows what else...?
I can see shooting inside 500 yards in this position, but that day I was just looking how it'll be like shooting an 18x12 inch steel target out to 638 yards... it was pretty entertaining... especially watching others try to keep it still.. no shots were fired in that position
