    Default Precsion Rifle Solutions "Tripod"

So I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought me a PRS Large QD Tripod with the SSP 2.
Just got it today and am I having a blast with it..?! well... so far, I only get to play with it around the house
Okay... I really see the benefits of having a tripod and sure hell am glad I got one..
Here are some pics of what and how I've been experimenting with it so far.

    at another angle

.. and with me behind the rifle

There are many levels of adjustment with this thing! I'm rolling all over the place messing with this thing... and it's so easy and fun to use! It almost feels like the guys at PRS calculated everything just right with the levels of adjustments it's pretty bad ass!

    now lets get low...

The only downside I've found so far is not with the product. It's the shooter/me... As much as I'm trying to keep the reticle from twitching a lil here and there. It really is a challenge keeping things at a solid stillness compared to the prone position. I can't imagine what it'll be like shooting this out on the field too. I know.. I know... I think I'll figure it out with more time behind this style of shooting. Other than that, I am so falling in love with this thing!

Another thing I'd like to add: The people at Precision Rifles Solutions are great people! I've chatted with them back and forth via email and they are really really cool! Another plus is it's made in the Great U.S. of A.
Here's where you could order yours!

.. and it goes on... it's insane I tell you.

So far, reading reviews and gathering other insights on shooting with a tripod is as good as shooting off/on a pack. I've yet to confirm this. It does feel really comfortable though. I've came around holding on to the sling and noticed a lil more stabilization with this technique. I'm really looking forward to shooting with this tripod.

I'm no expert on explaining all this... so I took pics for you

I guess this is what your talking about. These are the tabs that you flip in and out to unloosen the legs.

.. and this is a shot of where you adjust the legs out. You can get the legs kickin outward to a dang near 90 degrees!

    Hope this helps

I've had the same tri-pod for a while now. I have been more than happy with it. You can use it for many things. You can rest your binos on it, you can rest your spotting scope, your range finder, whatever. The rifle of course. Their tripod served me well the last time I shot the Steel Safari.

And as Mike said, they were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with.

Exactly what I was wondering about.Looks to be a solid locking mechanism.
Definitely will look into getting one in the future.
    Thanks for posting this up
