I hate reading about these things so I finally just read the article. I've realized why this story has died in the media: the perp and victims are all hispanic.

So 1) cute white victims can't get the sympathy clicks
2) wasn't an angry white man that could be portrayed as conservative to prop up the liberal agenda
3) last straw: only a 9mm pistol was used, not very good for gun control pushes.
