    Default Axis lock

This is probably just me been new to knifes, but I find axis locks sketchy, like they won't hold the blade very well.

They tend to have a fairly good reputation but I never warmed to them in spite of liking the actual knives they were/are attached to.

I love my mini grip, fast, stable.. I have a full size grip as well and it doesn't have as nice a feel in the hand, but its a great knife as well. If you go to YouTube there is a guy who stress tests knives and they do quite well. I use mine at work sometimes and have never felt the slightest slip.

They are great for ambidextrous use with gloves on....

I assume you are talking about the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, so you do like the Mini-Griptilian over the full size Griptilian? I was going to get the Griptilian and I want to know more about them and not from salesmen.

I really like the axis lock. Pull the button back and the blade moves freely and can be flicked in or out. Once locked open the pin has to shear to move the blade.

The mini doesn't have as much "give" in the handle, the scales feel rock solid. My full size "feels" just a little bit plasticy. It doesn't have any looseness in the lock or blade, just not as solid of a feel. I have the 154cm steel and it sharpens relatively easily and holds the edge well.
