    Default Swfa SS

I'm seriously looking at the swfa ss scope in either 3-9 or 3-15. I've read a lot of reviews online, but I am curious if anyone on here has one? If so how do you like it?

I have the 3-15 and I really like it so far. The glass is very clear and it's built sold.

I've got a 16 X 42, & you get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy that scope again. Spend more and get a better scope. Just my $.02 worth.

I can't speak specifically about the scopes you are considering but thought you might be interested in another factor to consider in ordering from SWFA. Be sure to CALL and inquire about the availability of your choice before ordering. A few months ago, I ordered an SWFA 10x Super Sniper scope and didn't find out until the order was complete that they were out of stock with no estimate on arrival. Their web site and ordering process do not let you know when something is out of stock until you get the confirmation email. I ended up getting a Falcon Optics 4-16X44 for my long range rifle. There were multiple customer service problems from SWFA regarding THAT order that involved me sending multiple emails to various folks over a period of weeks with NO responses.

Falcon Optics (Located in UK) however was absolutely amazing in their customer service and I am absolutely thrilled with my new scope and the company that made it.

    Just an FYI.

I have the 3-9x42 SS FFP on my Sig716 in a Larue QD LT104 mount and it performs well, holds zero, and the glass is pretty good. I'd say damn good value for a $600 glass. I bought mine open box for $500.

I wish it had the newer mil-quad reticle, but it has served me well.

I have a 10x mil/mil and a 5-20x HD. Both are great and my customer service experience was exemplary.

There are nicer optics out there, but they cannot be beaten for value. Vortex (PST's specifically) is the only thing that comes close. Its always best to check out scopes in person before you buy.

I had one of their fixed 10x rattle itself apart on my .308. I was excited to get the scope, and after about 300 rounds that bell almost fell off.

picked up an IOR, spent quite a bit more and been happy ever since

I have a 10X HD and it's an awesome scope. Definitely compares with much higher end scopes. Had the the 16x before that and it is definitely night and day difference. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the HD again.
