TacSol and Volquartsen both make great stuff. If you are looking for barrels, I have been using Beyer barrels to build both 10/22s and the Ultralight .22LR uppers: http://www.carbonarms.us/AR-15-Upper...2LR-upper.html Clint makes barrels with excellent accuracy that surpass some of the "famous" makers.

A good option is a TI receiver and bolt: http://www.tacticalinc.com/elite22%E...ly-p-1432.html Add their barrel block, a barrel, trigger and stock and you can be at about $600 or so with a one of a kind unit you built yourself. I have found good triggers and stocks on Rimfire Central for very good prices.

I suggest one of the many performance bbls on the market and go from there.I did a 77/22 bbl build for an ar project and that was a tack driver. There are numerous 77/22 bbls out there for cheap, that will give you better accuracy then a stock bbl. Same for the trigger group.

Or build off the TS receiver and save $100.

Unfortunately, like an AR once you get started your "project" has more money in it than you realize.
Lol, I'm not disagreeing with you but the complete rifles are better deal in the long run for what they are

    Ruger 10/22 - $240
    X-ring Receiver - $369
    TS Alum Barrel - $195
TS Extended Mag release - $35
    Hogue stock - $70

or you can get all that in a complete rifle for about $600

Interesting stuff. And yes, I do not want to mod every part of a Ruger .22. I was asking of opinions on the Tac-Sol stuff. I'll go check out the rimfire website.
