I shoot sporting clays out there and occasionally use the rifle range if the mood strikes me when fiends of mine have time to shoot rifles after clays.
First off CRC is well out of the way and as a result is not encroached upon by anyone wanting to close it down.
Second CRC is well out of the way and you have to know where / what it is to find it, as a result no vandalism and relatively little interaction with undesirable sorts.
third CRC is well out of the way and as a result any trip out there is a usually a kills the majority of the day.
Never count on the weather (wind) at the range to match what is going on in Denver it can be windy out there.
CRC requies a work bond in addition to fees but in leu of work you can choose to pay an additional fee on top of your dues if you can not find the time to work on someting listed at the range.

The majority of those in charge of the goings on at the range (from what I understand thru a third party) are lets just say aging as a result some things that you might want to see at a range are just not going to happen as the old guard there just "does not see a need for it" I hear ideas from people all the time as to what they would like to see out there but nothing is likely to dasticly change ultil there is more input from younger members. That is not to imply that the range needs a lot but like everywhere else some people are in charge and everyone else has their own ideas.

    Metalic silouette range with cover
    1000 yard high power range
    small bore range with cover.
200 yard schuetzen range used for CMP matches several times a year.
Sporting clays range that has a small but loyal following on the scheduled says
Archery area, couldn't describe it as I have never ventured to that area of the club.
Cowboy Action dress up and shoot area. (atleast thats what I call it)

Here is the 1000 yard range from the 800 yard line. only the 1000 yard line has cover.
and the Schuetzen range which has benches and cover at the 200 yard line during a CMP sanctioned Garand match.
