If you have not taken delivery of the item, refund is given. If you did a paper and decided to switch to an e-file, that would be considered a new application, as you're not resubmitting for correction. Being vague in your post doesn't help either.

I submitted a paper form 1 with a trust for an sbr, on the time that they took out the e-forms, now that they are back, I would like to re-submit as a e-form1, since they are taking a month or less to be approved. I was under the assumption that once sent via paper, the tax would be non refundable, once again, I was not well informed ( my fault ) but, hopefully I can contact them tomorrow and cancel it for a return, and then submit as an e-form 1.

Do you know exactly when you submitted it? If it was back in may/June time frame, you might just want to wait as it may be faster. I'm seeing on some other sites guys getting form 4's back @ 5 months pretty consistently. So Depending on when you sent it, it could be right around the corner.

NFA is not a hobby for the impatient, as some of us know.
Like XCR said, you pull the paper, your approval may be done before end of month. If the efile goes down while you're in the middle of filing, Oh Well. Leave it on paper and wait.

Definitively I need to gather more patience, lesson learned and finally my first stamp, and I fear that it shall not be the last one...

NFA stamp, is one hell of a drug...
