I have had a couple "PENDING RESEARCH" Form 1's. One was for a SBR built on a 80% receiver. After 10 days it went to "SUBMITTED/IN PROGRESS" without me doing anything. 4 weeks later I got my "APPROVED" email E-Stamp. The other was a because the manufactures name on my gun didn't match what was on their approved manufacturers list. They emailed me requesting pictures of the manufacturers name engraved on the gun. I moved to "SUBMITTED/IN PROGRESS" the same day I sent the pictures. 4 weeks to then get my E Stamp. As a weirdness on that one- I received the approval email at 9:16 pm last Sunday (Dec. 21).

For what it's worth- I get excellent pictures of the engraving on guns using a flatbed scanner.

Following a few different BYO threads, i put FM1 in the manufactures box. It's for a suppressor build

I submitted my 80% with my trust name and address the 4a box. It came back with "FORM1 REGISTRATION, UNITED STATES" in the 4a box.

I'm guessing that anything submitted with something entered that doesn't match some preapproved entry will get kicked over to a human. Hopefully someone will look it over and change it to whatever they prefer soon. My second example where the name didn't match had a timeline of e-filed at 2am, email to me asking for pictures at 9am, I replied with pictures at 9:20am, received an email notice of "SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS" about 4:00pm the same day. I hope you get a notice that yours changes to submitted within a couple days.

    OH YEAH

This is to advise you that the status of your eForms submission with the subject Permit/Control number has changed to SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS

if your FFL didn't have it in stock. Then yes that's to FFL from mfg / vendor. It's also the Form 3. IF you got a F 4 approved in 4 months i'm doing another factory SBR, maybe.

Here's how it worked for me:
In the "manufacturer" section, I clicked mfg code, not name. I entered FM1 many times, as was suggested by several trusted sources, to no avail. The proper code is actually FMI (letter i , not number 1). This immediately populates the field with "Form 1 registration, United States"
    Hope this helps.
    It IS batfe so YMMV.

Didn't i say that last time we talked? You need to enter FM1. HOWEVER within the last 30 days / new year the Efile info may have been updated, due to the massive influx of BYO suppressors.

I wasn't calling anyone out. FM1 doesn't garner immediate results. FMI results in immediate cell population.
And you need to specify mfg CODE, not mfg NAME (which is the default).

Just relaying my experience. Not trying to ruffle feathers.

In further response, yes, you and John both told me FM1, and you showed me how it ultimately populated the form. I'm merely relaying the result I got by selecting Code and entering FMI.
