Friend just texted me got a F4 for suppressor back yesterday 4/17 was submitted 07/9/16 paper.

I did an electronic F1 on the same day 07/09/16 havent seen anything yet.

Just picked up Form 4 stamp yesterday. Mailed 6/16/2016, CC charged 6/28/16, so basically 8.5-ish months.

I picked it up April 22, 2017.

The last 45 days were chaos for dealers and the NFA Branch I am sure.

Chances are you are just in the depths of the last minute grind or you have a slow examiner.

I just pulled the trigger on a silencerco hybrid as a all in one can and now I'm waiting to pay it off before they send the paperwork.
Since I have sent one in already this year and did all the paperwork once. What is going to be different for me this time around? Will it be faster? Has anyone got some numbers back on the return time since the rule change?

Nothing changes. Everyone goes through the same BGC they did on forms 1, 2, 3, etc. Everyone fills out the same forms as last time. UNLESS your last submitter was prior to 7/16 . If that's the case, there's a lot more paperwork than before. All that should be taken care of by the FFL you're using.

Wait time is still 6-8 months, the longer you take to pay it off the longer it takes to get an approval.
The real question is. Once you pay the can off, how long till you have the $200 for the feds. Depending on the time frame for payoff and tax stamp $$ . You might not get approval to mid 18.
