Went today because tomorrow's forecast looked a bit too toasty for me. Final count (13) Pdogs and (4) wabbits. Not bad considering the winds were blowing up something fierce pretty much all day. Here's a little dude I dropped with a kneeling offhand neck shot at about 100 yards with my 17 HMR. Got a handful at about 280 yards with my 223, too. Again, not bad considering how crazy the winds were.

Went out yesterday with a friend & hit 4 different towns; had a blast!! Most shots were 150-400 yds with the wind not too much of a factor. We were shooting so much, we forgot to take pictures; maybe next time.

Went out today with my bud killianak9. Knew it was going to be toasty, so we hit it and quit it, rollin out of there just after noon after a 0800 start. It was already 94 degrees! We bagged (15) Pdogs and (6) wabbits plus this bonus ground squirrel. All by .17 HMR with shots out to 180 yards. Not too shabby.

Took last weekend off due to the rains. Made up for it this time in spades with some friends yesterday. My personal tally for the day was (26) pdogs and (7) wabbits. OMG shot of the day was this Jackrabbit running away from us, left to right at full speed. I nailed it with my bolt action MVP Patrol .223 with the first shot at, (wait for it...), 250 YARDS!

Went lone wolf today. Managed (29) pdogs and (3) wabbits. All with my .17 HMR from about 75 yards out to this nice 180 yard kill.

That's great. However I see a lot of guys posting in June and July about the rabbits that they shot. Just so you are aware there is a season for rabbits.

Thanks Lars. This seems to come up every once in a while. I hunt on private lands with owner permission under Colorado Nuisance Laws as stated in my signature. No seasons. No limits. Cotton Tails and Jack Rabbits included.

Went out hunting today for only about an hour or so with vossman. We managed just (15) dogs, (2) wabbits, and this nice airborne ground squirrel explosion with my .17 HMR, but we had a good time. The weather was perfect, but other stuff came so we had to cut it short. Hopefully we'll have more "go" time on our next adventure.
