Been shooting factory Winchester 45 grain JHP just for the brass. Ends up it's a VERY capable load on it's own!

Had a great time pdoggin with Killianak9 today despite 25+ MPH winds that came blowing in with the storm clouds. Lost track of how many varmints we dispatched, but two shots in particular were unforgettable.
The first was a confirmed 206 yard Pdog hit by Rick with his .17 HMR, even with a wicked howling crosswind! I helped him finish it off with my 22-250 since it was still crawling around like a zombie, dragging it's bowels behind him!
The next was a wabbit trying to hide from the wind in some brush about 100 yards away. Popped him with my 22-250 and saw him fly in the air a good four feet before landing out of view. Once we caught up with it, we discovered that I had made a true "hole in one"! However, we had no idea how devastating the shot truly was until I fished it out. It was a head shot that entered it's nose, then blew out it's entire insides back, including one if it's hind legs that was found several feet away! Boom!

I know it has been discussed in the past. I'm sure that rabbit was damaging property and not shot for sport out of season. Sorry to be a buzzkill. Great shot BTW.
