That's pretty much sums it up. We were up at 4:15 and slammed some oatmeal,geared up and started our trek up the mountain. By 6:00 the bugles started. The day I stuck my elk I was in the dark forest with 5 bulls screaming at each other no more than 40 yards from me.The cows were calling in and one smaller bull came in to challenge the heard bull and some horns were locking! I was in sheer aw and amazement watching all this go down. I was frozen in place with no shot because of the heavy brush and timber so all I got was a live Animal Planet show.
