Default Long Range ( Sorta )

So I realized that I was getting sub MOA accuracy out of this barrel and didn't think the TA33 Acog was doing it justice. The TA33 is an awesome optic but lacks the accuracy I want with the BDC. I created an SPR'ish build out of my Knights SR-15. I know that there has been talk in the past of the Knights barrels being more of a "battle" barrel rather than one built accuracy but this rifle is a tack driver. I added a US Optics SR6 in a Larue SPR mount. It uses the JNG Mil reticle. I added the folding KAC 45 offsets and also complemented it with a Harris HBR-S on a QD Larure mount. I'm hoping to build some 77g rounds to really get the most out this thing. I also posted pics in the Pic thread.

    Looks damn nice!!!

I recently built one up with an eye toward 3 gun competition, and the thing is an absolute tac driver. I knew the barrel should be accurate (rainier ultra match 18" wylde chamber) but I never guessed it would be as good as it is. I'm starting to play with it a bit more with the LR game in mind. Couldn't be happier.

Yeah, I'd say you had something to do with this piece of glass. The trigger is Knights. It has a cleaner break than the Geissele SSA but the second stage is a tad heavier.

Thanks man. I'm not even sure why I built this. A 3 gun rifle would be a great way to go. I just like the idea of shooting long range a little cheaper than my .308. It sure did come out nice.

Looks good man. Let's go try it out. There's nothing more satisfying than hearing the ding of steel at long range.

Agreed! The only problem with a super accurate AR is the lack of energy at ranges that are actually entertaining. We shoot steel out to 750ish with ARs, and there's damn little indication of a hit, even looking through a Swarovski spotter. I'm considering having someone make me some AR500 targets out of 1/4" or thinner material just to reduce the mass and get some movement.

With a hot-shit AR and good ammo, a full size IPSC silloutte at 750 is stupidly easy once you get the wind dialed. The trick is knowing if you hit it or not. A 6X6 plate is good fun at 500, and you get lots more movement.
