Looks like a good pack knife for utility. Any other good blades around $100 I should also look at?

probably fixed for the pack. Folders are another quest, probably auto or good assisted

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't get an auto. Had a microtech and they last thing you would want to depend on is a knife like that for outdoors. I think zero tolerance is a good assisted, Wiggity has a few fixed for sale. Bladehq or bladeops is another good website. Good luck with your search! I use a ESEE 5 for a pack/camping knife, it is on the heavy side though.

Watch this video before you make a purchase but IMO that sog demo sucks for a pack knife it's designed to be a combat pig sticker you are going to want to be able to baton with a big fixed blade if you carry the weight in. And for a folder if you want the fastest knife in the world get a Emerson wave or if you are on a budget get a spyderco endura wave they smoke any auto or assisted knife there is
