It was a hard fail. A lot of the gun stores failed to follow the instructions given which is also on the petitions regarding notarization etc. Near the end the guy I think heading it basically said no chance and requested on the FB page for anyone with the petitions to go ahead and burn/destroy lest those signatures etc go in some kind of database.
After this thread and realizing how bad they'd done w/ it I left a comment for them about way to fail on getting active online. Reach far more people...

Yeah, that totally bites but is hardly surprising. I only knew about it as I saw a petition at gun shop by chance. If such an effort is going to work out, the word must get out there much, much more aggressively.
Bummer.
Especially since I never heard about it.
Only reason I heard about this was when I did a BGC for a private transfer. Otherwise saw it nowhere.
5280 had one last time I was there. I signed it 2 months ago.
I'll for sure sign this. looks like I am one of the multitude who was not aware that there even was a petition! Let's spread the word.
