Of the above, GHW's statement wasn't so much a lie as a broken promise. I'll consider it a lie if I find evidence he planned on raising taxes at the time he said that but I saw the pressure the then-Democratic Congress was applying when he finally backed down and agreed to increasing taxes. While I think GWB was wrong, I don't think he was lying (which requires intentional deceit) -- in the same vein, Obama may have just been delusional or flat-out stupid when he said "ObamaCare will be good for America". After all, we all know he hasn't got a freaking clue on economics or managing money anyway and he's been an indoctrinated Marxist since he was young so I'm sure he really thought it would be good ...

I agree with your point about GHW. Obama's I don't. I think he thought it would be good for Democrat voters (read: sponges for government handouts), which would therefore assist in the Marxists takeover of the country, which is his ultimate goal IMO. But he could just be a dumbass as well.

GWB and WMD's - FACT: Iraq had WMD's and used them on their own people.

Unfortunately in 1991, GHWB failed to take out Saddam and provided a 10 year window for any remaining WMD's to be moved, hidden, whatever. Sadly GWB was a victim of poor timing, poor intelligence gathering. GWB did more than enough to harm our economy but I think his premise that Iraq had WMD's was correct, just off on timing.

Bush never said "Mission Accomplished" ... the "Mission Accomplished" banner was put up by the Captain of the USS Abraham Lincoln to celebrate his crew's completion of their ten month deployment (which at the time was the longest since the Vietnam war) NOT the entire Iraq war.

The "there were no WMDs" lie is told by the leftists that run the media in their ongoing attacks on any Republican they can throw their feces at. As for Saddam's WMDs ... ask the Syrians where they are (in particular ask the anti government protesters ... oh wait, you can't ... they're dead).

Any one of those Obama lies would have been enough to take him down if he didn't A.) Own the media and B.) Be able to play the race card to marginalize his critics.

These two things are going to be the indirect cause of the end of America--because we can no longer hold government accountable. This isn't a Constitutional crisis anymore, it's a post-Constitutional new normal.
