Definitely! We have shown many properties with hidden room, safe room, or secret closet. They don't usually disclose it on the listing description, but during inspection or before closing, sometimes we get a nice surprise.

Remember, there is plenty of space between the studs in a wall. I have heard (but not tried it myself) of making removable panels in the walls or wainscoting. The key is if you tuck something away, the more you go to that spot, the more chance for leaving a tell-tale mark where something is stashed.
I have known people to tuck a pistol and ammo in air vents (all legal people too, not shady drug dealers and the like).

It is because of this that I like the idea of the gun-hiding picture, but do not want the hidden room when I have children!

Going into houses everyday for the past 20 + years, looking for a leak and hearing there's nothing behind there or you will have to come back my hudand needs to be here to let you in that room. The best one is don't judge us when I let you in here.

So true More then you probably think.

I put a secret compartment of some sort in most projects. I started out on this one just wanting a cavity to put some stuff in, but it got a little out of hand as you can see.

I'm thinking about picking up a Kreg Jig Set (I am assuming you used that for the pocket holes?), do you like yours?
