    Default Reloading room/gun room ideas

So I am reclaiming a 9' X 12' basement room with great lighting, electric floor board heater (only one in house), and a window. The basement flooded last summer and this room took a hit, it was storage.

I am looking for ideas for a cheap built in gun cabinet, cheap and easy to build. Security is not a big concern and my kids know better. The room will be locked so a light lock would be plenty.

Reloading bench and shelves. I don't care for my old bench and would like to improve it with a cheap easy setup.

I did have a cable guy run cable in it today so TV is covered

We when first bought the house my nephew lived with us before he went to college, it was a great bedroom haha.

Well I put my reloading set up in it for now till I get something better. I still need to paint and figure out what I am gonna do for flooring since the carpet got flooded. It will never have carpet again, what a mess!

Nice setup. Nothing like a good man cave. I always wanted a big poster of one of those giant worms from Tremors looking like its busting through the wall. "grab the elephant gun!"

Just paint the floor and call it a day. Easier for cleanup and no issues with static discharge. Looks like you have a decent amount of space to work with.

If you can score a few kitchen base cabinets, they make good foundations for a bench.
Increase the lighting, forget carpet. I have 10x3 anti-static rubber backed carpet sections, i use. You can too
2-3 more 4-8' florescent fixtures and you'll be well lit. For any lighting over the bench area, i suggest you put these over the tubes.

Powder and primers separate areas, enclosed in 1" thick wood cabinets, non-locking doors. FIRE EXTINGUISHER at least 2 hefty ones. Those small kidde units last 10 sec, if that.

I was using an unfinished basement room that's like 20'x20', had my weights, reloading, work benches, lathe etc. Buy that's gonna be the storage room with hidden area. So I am down sizing but this room is warmer and has better lighting. Plus I can sleep there when the wife pisses me off haha

I will be replacing the fluorescent lights with LED this spring.
