Passed Technician and General. I didn't bother even trying the next one. I should be hot to go in a week or so.
I was surprised at the size of the crowd. There must have been 25 or more guys taking tests.

Congratulations! I plan on taking mine on the 19th. Any study tips you would like to pass along?
I read a study guide on-line and then used an iPad app for practice tests. Over a month or so, I probably took 50 practice tests (I'd do them at the gym on the treadmill) for Technician. I took a few practice tests for General in the last week or so and just took a shot at it. Technician was easy. General would have been easier if I'd put more than 2 hours into it, but that proved to be enough to get by.

What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?
-- Ayn Rand, Anthem (Chapter 11)
I'm planning on next week. Still need to study for general.
OK, I think I'm interested in doing this.
Should I bother buying the AARL book for the tech/general license, or should I just use ham study and apps? Which iPad/iPhone apps are y'all using?
I have zero knowledge of any of this ... haven't even used a CB before... how much time should I plan on using to study?
