Ick, got to love hams that do their best to run guys out of the hobby. Havent heard too many nice things about that club. Biggest thing you guys need to do, is use the firewall test. It will let you know if you need to tweak your router or not. That often times is the source of headaches with the program. I'm going to log onto echolink, once on, I'll post my node # so anyone wants to verify their setup works, they can.

I think you can click on the binocular tab and that is the search feature. If you type in test server then it should come up. My node# may be dynamic, that it changes each time I log in. Otherwise I can look up the test node when I get home tonight.

Should be 9999 and it is called *ECHOTEST*. I been doing some reading since my pee pee got slapped.

OK guys, I thought I would interject here to make sure we understand the status of everyone who has posted on this thread. I'm sure I have some mistakes below, so please let us know what needs to change. I grouped everyone into 5 categories: Needs to take license test and needs radio, needs to take license test and has a radio, licensed and needs a radio, licensed and has radio but echolink not up yet, and licensed and has radio and echolink is up. Echolink is "up" means it is installed, configured, and you can both xmit and rcv through the ECHOTEST server.
