Default Issue with a Badger ordnance base for rem 700 SA 20 moa steel.

I bought this base back around July. From mile high shooting accessories. The base came with 4 screws 3 long one short. I just bought my optic finally, I am starting to think it came with the wrong screw cause it does not thread in enough and has already stripped the first 3 threads with out using my fat wrench. Any thoughts?

    Currently running a rem 700 R 5 tactical ss

Possible if the rifle was used. I don't think any 700 SAs came 8-40 from the factory.

All my bases are two long screw's rear, two short screw's front.

it's a brand new rifle i bought a year ago. i will give Burt or mile high a call tomorrow if they are open. we have extra screws at work i can probably take or use if need be. i know if i call burt i will be adding more things too it and having him do more work to it but i really want to go shoot it .
