    Default coyotes .....

in years past there's been a at least a post or two about calling coyotes. Haven't seen anyone do it yet, so I guess I will. I was out Friday morning until the next front pushed in and wind kicked up. They were coming to the call pretty good. Should've had one more, but I guess ain't that the way it always goes. Used the heavy hittin' .17 Rem equipped with my S.A.S. suppressor. Longest shot was 180 yards. With these 6, that makes 77 for the winter so far. Been getting an average of $20. ea. from Petska fur for the good ones. Still quite a bit of mange out east, but seems to be better this winter than the past few winters. Any one else workin' em over this winter?

Went out 2 weeks ago & only had one respond, unfortunatly it was about 800 yds out & wouldn't commit. Probably threw too many different sounds out trying to get it closer.

ha I made a post in the wanted section to go hunting with someone! I love predator hunting but dont have any semi local spots to go! all my spots are an hour and 45 minutes plus away! I would love to go if you ever want someone to go with!

I just got back from AZ we ended up getting 3 fox and a coyote... it was crazy hot and they werent moving but we still had fun!

congrats on the coyotes and love the set up! this year i am getting a suppressor! I know you cant really see the backs of those coyotes but they look like some light colored yotes!

Nice. Calling/hunting predators is a skill I always wished I had picked up.

Awesome job. I've been out to Pawnee a few times this year but haven't been able to get any dogs in close.

I think the Pawnee gets hunted pretty hard. Hunted up that way with a buddy last year who has permission on a bunch of private and when we drove through the Pawnee, seemed like there was someone shooting or camping about every where we looked. Knock on a few doors, a lot of guys will let a guy hunt coyotes.

Pawnee does get hunted very hard. It is almost a waste of time to go out there.
