    My brother has one of the little Browning take down autos. It's pretty sweet, I'd love to have one too. He got it sometime in the 60's, so no doubt it's a real Browning and not the Japanese copy. I'm sure it would fit in a backpack very nicely.

    There are a few versions of the little takedown browning, two by other makers. A buddy just picked up a Remington M24. They are very cool. If you look for the off brands, they can be had for around $400 to $500 in good shape.

    Mmmm .... yeah, a cougar could be dropped with a .22 LR with superb shot placement and a lot of luck but I wouldn't plan on it ...
