    I use the Colorado concealed carry reciprocity list as my handy vacation planning guide. It gives me a list of states to visit and spend money and states that won't get a dime. Seriously!

    I have looked and researched. It appears I am ok flying down to Orlando, FL with my ccw Hellcat, and carrying. Did I miss anything or should I be aware of any benign laws?
    I know NM it has to be a minimum of .25 cal, which I did not know until an officer politely mentioned it (many years ago).

    My personal opinion is that you never go to "second party" sites like USA Carry, Law Shield, etc. Go to the horse's mouth, e.g. the .gov page FOR THE STATE YOU'RE TRAVELLING TO (not Colorado's page) and look it up.

    AND THEN CARRY A COPY OF THE PAGE WITH YOU!

    Problem is, gun laws change so frequently, unfortunately, that if you're looking at stale information on a second party site, it won't work for your defense.

    If you have dated information from the state's site, you have a fighting chance in court.

    For example, the original question about New Mexico, the information is here: https://www.dps.nm.gov/law-enforceme...arry-licenses/

    For the latest question about Florida, the information is here: https://www.fdacs.gov/Consumer-Resou...se-Reciprocity

    Also keep in mind that reciprocity is only the tip of the iceberg. You need to know all the local laws about carrying, too (like victim disarmament zones, for example).

    O2
    YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
    When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
    Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

    Correct .

    We also have No Duty to Retreat.
    Title 13. Criminal Code ? 13-405.

    B. A person has no duty to retreat before threatening or using deadly physical force pursuant to this section if the person is in a place where the person may legally be and is not engaged in an unlawful act.

    What's considered brandishing in CO and other states, is not in AZ. It's called

    Defensive display of a firearm 13-421

    The defensive display of a firearm by a person against another is justified when and to the extent a reasonable person would believe that physical force is immediately necessary to protect against the use or attempted use of unlawful physical force or deadly physical force.

    This includes:
    Verbally informing another person that the person possesses or has available a firearm;

    Exposing or displaying a firearm in a manner that a reasonable person would understand was meant to protect the person;

    Placing a hand on a firearm while the firearm is contained in a pocket, purse or other means of containment or transport.

    I have read through FL state website, most appears to be the same in CO. No .gov buildings, churches, schools, alcohol est. We are not planning on being in any of those, so I believe I should be good. I have also looked at a few other websites and all seem to be saying the same things.

    Being a crotchety old hermit, staying home and away from other people - seems to work fine for me. Especially with the cost of gas these days.

    It is. However i cannot carry on state college campus. BUT i'll take the ability to NOT be arrested for "brandishing", over ccw on college campus, since i no longer work at one.

    I know this is a BUMP, but I didn't want to

    South Carolina -- a state full of rednecks and good ol' boys -- baffles me. Does anyone have specific information on why they don't honor the Colorado CCW?
