I am in the same boat, I have 2 go-to rifles and am in the process of building 2 more...(I know, I have a problem) I am thinking about making the 3rd rifle "pretty", maybe a dip or some cerakote.
I would say if you have other rifles that are a "go-to", and can take a beating, finish this one with some cerakote and make it pretty. If you don't care about Krylon, as it looks horrible if you actually use the rifle, spray it. Or leave it looking like a step child that you don't care about.
I am a big fan of shit looking good, I say #2...
And I second the black stock idea. My OCD is right about where everyone else's is.
Black stock coming soon. Might make the black handguard look a bit more at home as well.
I like all of the options except spray paint.
Looks like just about everyone thinks spray paint is a bad idea.
I probably won't go that route.
Leaning towards just putting the black stock on it and enjoying it the way it is.
If you had brought it out to CRC on Saturday, you would have had all the metal nicely blasted and ready for a coat of something.
If it was mine, I would replace the stock with a black one and call it good. Honest, that is what I thought before I saw everyone else suggest the same thing.
