Beer is the best way to store water. They did it in the old days!
I was thinking about my homebrew equipment for this, use my big funnel I use to get stuff into carboys and line it with a muslin grain sock. Plus, homebrewing in a SHTF scenario is good because you boil the water for an hour or more and, hops and alcohol are anti-spoiling agents.Originally Posted by rbeau30

Hopefully my hops Rhizomes get here this week so I can get them planted.
Getting them from Brew Hut? I tried a few times to plant them but my canine digging machine always found them and tore them up. Hop pellets are better for long term storage anyway.
Can we grow hops here in Colorado?

CO is one of the largest, if not largest Home Brew and Micro brew states. You can't go 50' w/out tripping over some home brewer in ft fun.
Even more interesting are the ones who keep bees, for their honey mead.
