Default Is there a better option than "darts" to hold an upholstered panel tightly and still allow removal?

The dart has to be placed through the panel and beneath the upholstery, then pressed on the body panel. Pretty much the same as a door panel.

However, I'm looking for something with better retention as it's the back edge of a boat sundeck cushion. Is there any kind of two piece that locks together somehow?

    Any ideas?

I may resort to a channel to hook the edge/lip the panel edge attaches to, then clips around the underside to hold that, but would rather not put holes in the deck cover.

There's stronger holding door panel holders as well.

If memory serves, 95~ish Chevy Tahoe door panel holders were a sum-bitch to remove

Velcro or magnets maybe? Assuming you don't have access to secure it from the underside.

If you do end up using the plastic clips look at the kind you can replace if they break. Since they will be upholstered over you won't be able to replace the push through ones after they're covered.

^ those work like a keymod rail. You cut a heyhole in the bottom of panel and slide the clips in from the bottom. Then if one breaks or stops holding as well after being removed you can just replace the clip.
