Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training from the RTD

This was brought to my attention at work. Has anyone done this? I am thinking of taking the August class. I think it would be a good way to get some insight as I am not a LEO. Not sure how valuable it will be. 3 Saturdays is kinda a bummer.
