I'm traveling to Oklahoma soon to hunt hogs on private land.

I've never hunted in Oklahoma, and I've never hunted hogs before.

Any tips or pointers or comments? I see my CO CCW is valid, although open-carry is not permitted.

I'm still working the kinks out of my Remington 700ti in 260 Remington, so I'll be bringing a 270 WSM with a 3.5-10x scope.

Trying not to spend a lot of money up-front. Maybe learn something this first trip and buy the "perfect" gear for next time. I'd love an excuse to buy the new Marlin 1895 SBL.
