I've noticed Remington has had quite a few recalls in the last few years. Is this an issue of The Freedom Group or just a sign of the times. I've had 3 vehicle recalls in the last year too.

Wait i'm confused, didn't Remington spend 10's of millions of dollars in lawyers fees to say that their triggers are safe for the past 10 years? what made them do the recall? they lose a case?

As an added bit of information, the free S&H for the recall is basically indefinite. I called and told them that I'm moving in a couple of months, and that if I waited until August to send it in, it'd be no problem with their free S&H.

Mine is on the recall but I think I'll just put in an aftermarket trigger. It's a good excuse to tell the wife.

Thx to buffcyclist peer pressure, I ordered the Timney 2.5# 510 trigger today : D
but I still want a "safe" stock trigger. I'll just feel no rush to send it in.

ETA: Ordered yesterday, got the email this morning that it's shipped! (ordered direct from www.timneytriggers.com)

No problem, glad I could help!

For the record though, I LOVE my Timney 510 2.5lb trigger. If only I had time to take it to the range instead of just dry firing it.

I also don't want to send in my whole rifle or take the scope off.
