Ranges that allow shoot and move.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen

I hope you are all doing good.

My quick question is, I have been looking to train on how to move and shoot with rifle and pistol, I have searched but so far my questions are half answered and/or I still have my doubts, basically I am looking for a range ( public or private ) that will permit me to train in many forms of shooting, for example; Walk as I shoot, move fast and shoot, kneel, prone and such.

I would greatly appreciate some feed back on this, since I am looking to train on more than just stand still and shoot the paper target.

Good question, unfortunately you're not going to find many ranges around Denver that are conducive to moving and firing. You'll hear LIABILITY and "our insurance carrier blah blah blah..." Go find you some nice Nat'l Forest property and do as you please for free.

Check out Lead Valley Range. I have not been active there for a couple years, but move and shoot drills were allowed on the private berms as long as all range rules were followed. Ironically the private berms were kinda(varied a little berm/berm) tight in width and not always the most conducive to move and shoot drills but we made it work for our needs.

If you're up to it go find yourself a pistol or 3-gun match. If you go with the right mindset it's a good way to train.

Thank you all for the information, I shall look up the ranges specified, as for looking for a spot in a National Forest, I know very little of Colorado's National Forest, since have not explored much of CO, only been here for a year now, I love it so far. The 3-gun match hmm it does seem like fun
