    Angry Savage 93 .17HMR

I just purchased a Savage .17 HMR rifle. I have a problem. 25% of my shots... the firing pin does not hit the rim hard enough and I have to re-cock and pull the trigger again for the round to fire. I read in other posts that other folks have had same problem. Any one here have a similar encounter?
Going to the range again today after oiling the bolt and FP to see if that make a difference.
    Thanks in advance for information.

And now the good news. Just got it back from the factory. They said they fixed under warranty. Need to go shoot it some and see...

No Sir, they did not. I fired about 60 rounds. 2 non-fire rounds. that, of course is an improvement but not acceptable... Oh wait... no returns on firearms......

This happened 'out-of-the-box' The list from the factory said they replaced some parts. did not say what part. and to boot, the trigger pull is atrocious!! Otherwise it shoots true... when it shoots!!!

What ammo? Some people on other forums report CCI was giving a lot of failures with a Savage.
