    Default Alien Gear Holster

I ordered a Alien Gear IWB holster off of ebay earlier this year. When I picked up a Glock 42 they were on my short list when it came to holster shopping. My first order was very well priced, shipped quickly and a quality item. One thing I do like about their holsters is that extra hardware is included, and if you change handguns they'll swap out the kydex shell. For $30, I can't complain about that.

As to the second holster, I'm happy with the holster I finally received. I just feel like it took a bit of effort to get to that point. The shipping time according to the e-mail I received was 4 to 6 weeks. Fair enough. I'd prefer that be disclosed prior to ordering and paying, but at least they made an effort to made that known. While I received my holster ahead of that time frame, when I did get it, it was a LH IWB rather than RH IWB as I ordered. So I send an e-mail. Nothing. I sent another message. Nothing. Then I sent another e-mail and called a left a voice message. I finally said that my next step would be to chat with my bank. That got their attention. Well, apparently, a replacement had been shipped already, and was being delivered today. I asked what they wanted me to do with the wrong holster. They said I should keep it, as the situation was their responsibility to begin with.

So, I have my holster, and am happy with it. I do feel their communication could use some work. As a customer, I felt my concerns were being ignored. Being self-employed, I try to be very understanding but when there is a complete lack of communication for weeks, that doesn't sit well with me. They did the right thing in the end, and even more since they allowed me to keep the incorrect item. I'm pretty happy with it, and will be using it on a daily basis from here on out.

I would recommend buying from them, but would also suggest that if you have concerns, that you follow up to make sure they are addressed.

How comfortable is the Alien IWB? Leather appears to be quite thick? Do those screw sockets that hold the holster to the leather snag clothing?

I have had one for my M&P shield for over a year now. The leather is pretty thick and it takes some time to get it broke in, but then it is pretty comfortable. I have never really had any issues with the inserts snagging on clothing.

I think they are comfortable. Never had any issues with snagging. Even with my shirt tuck in. There have been many times I have forgotten it was there and almost walked into my bank armed. I am a big fan of them. And the free shell swap out program is a plus

What's wrong with carrying at the bank?

Shouldn't have an issue with the hardware snagging clothing as the holster shouldn't be moving and everything is static. They just released a 3.0 version that had a neoprene cover over all the hardware that completely eliminates that issue.

The laugh is on you. If you are going to carry, you should probably have a good understanding of where you can and can't carry. NOT illegal to carry in the bank.

Definitely not illegal to carry in a bank.

My bad. I could have sworn I read that you can't carry in a bank. Just like you can't carry in federal building
