    Ain't that the truth. Friend of mine went to Holland and Holland with $25K in cash to buy himself a double rifle and came home with the money still in his pocket. Said the Brits just snickered at him and told him that was enough for the down payment.

    Looking at a Remington 798. Not real familiar with them, but anything chambered in 375 H&H automatically seems to carry a premium. Comes with a Mauser action, which is a good action to build from. Understand the barreled actions are built by Zastava and sent to Remington. They come with a 26" barrel, which seems about 2" too long. They've been discontinued but reviews are generally positive.

    I want a Blaser R8, one barrel in 375 H&H and flip a coin for the other. I don't need it, can't afford it, haven't the time or skills to put it to proper use, and would probably need four advil after every shot. But I really enjoy mechanically unique actions

    Ended up finding a CZ 550 Safari. Milled dovetail rail seems a little odd for a heavy boomer like this, but seems to work.
