I just got an archery tag, didn't draw muzzleloader for a 3rd year in a row
but it was expected!
now I have a full month!
Wow I got one on a draw! I put in for deer only this year and drew one with only one preference point. Has to say something about the area I choose. I have been turkey hunting in this spot for two springs now and saw plenty of deer then. We will see come fall if I'm even still here come then.
As I (mis)posted in another thread, I drew out a deer tag and will go over-the-counter bull at the same time. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up an over-the-coutner bear tag as well. I got one last year and it was the first year in some time that I never laid eyes on a bear.

Only drew archery deer. Have a whole month, but hope it only takes one weekend. Either sex tag and shooting first doe I see inside of 40 yards. Already bought some new spices and rubs from BPS.
OK, this is goofy. Wife sends in for cow elk our area we live in.
Dow sends letter stating she didn't put in the resident since info so no tag.
However she gets to get a left over tag by just re submitting the app.
DUH,,, all the info is in the puter, why not just send the fuki'n tag the first time if you are gonna give it to her anyway....
I Luv the Gubment.
My wife's fishing license says Hunter's Ed is verified and has the number on it. She just got her cow tag which says Hunter's Ed card is required.
I've got a great idea! Let's turn our health care to the government! They do so well with everything else.![]()
Obama,,Obama,,, he's our savior,, and still the gubment organizations can't get off their asses, and do anything right,,,,,,,.....
Not their fault it is what it is...
I drew a muzzleloader cow elk, my dad drew a bull tag.
He got his about 5 days ago in the mail, I still haven't got mine yet. huh...
I understand the delay from the application deadline to the draw, they have to get some game numbers together for each area and re-evaluate how many healthy animals the particular area can handle and this takes some time, but...
What I dont understand, in this computer age, is why they can't use the computers to print the successful permits and checks for those who were unseccessful (or just getting PP) and get them in the mail within 2 days (that's being generous). Why on earth does it take WEEKS for this to occur? Are they using the homeless to process all of this? Or is it that they want to hold onto your money just a little bit longer for the interest they are drawing?
With that said, if you are just requesting a Preference Point, why can't you just submit the $3 app fee and they update your points by May 1st? They certainly cash the checks quickly enough. Again, in this computer era, the processing shouldn't take long @ all.
