So basement bathroom which was a after the house was built kind of afffair is some fancy low to the ground and I imagine a low flow toilet? Fairly shallow water tank with the pipe w/ flapper suspened in the middle of that.
It's started flowing slow so water level raises higher than normal (but not quite like its gonna flood). Doesn't form the whirlpool. Problem is the damn bowl is shaped funny and both plungers I've tried (and any I can imagine) would have a hard time getting a decent seal to forcefully try to clear any obstruction.
Any good home remedies to try? Something like running a tank or two of strong vinegar or other solution and let it sit in the pipes to maybe disolve a clog? Some of that thicker gel draino type stuff? Or just find someone with a short rooter? Or fuck it and just call a plumber? I'd like to avoid pissing away $150 of my hard earned $ from the last 2 months of working 70 hr weeks. That and since theres no particles or other backup seems like something other than just a more normal stoppage.
