    We have a crescent wrench at work that somebody engraved "Standard" and "Metric" on their respective sides.
    I got a good giggle the first time I saw it.

    While the pattern isnt too bad, Id pull .005 of pinion shim and see what you get. Looks like its sharp in the root of both coast and drive, which means its hitting the peaks on the pinion gear a bit. Id rather see a soft edge all the way around. Going off pics is different than in hand tho too. Ive had a few setups look pretty decent, and just a bit more or bit less shim, and suddenly, perfect.

    Well these are .5 less shim from 17 to 12 on the shim personally it looks worse. Your verdict ?

    thinner shim on pinion, i would not run that pattern
