Default AR Triggers: Geissele G2S vs RRA

What I'm really looking for is whether the cost of the G2S is worth double the RRA. Is there a noticeable, worthwhile difference for an 'average' shooter?

Does anyone here have any real world experience with both?

I have a RRA 2 stage, am happy with it and have exp with some milsurps so I'm familiar with 2 stages, and I do better accuracy work with 2 stage triggers. Dunno why, just do.
This trigger will go into a 6.8 that's a hunting rifle. It will never be a high volume 3 gun or carbine class rifle.

I've read the RRA's fail on occasion and go single stage, truth or urban legend? Anyone ever experience that?

How much does the RRA cost? G2S is $110 and I'm seeing the RRA 2-stage at ~$100.

Where'd you find the G2S for 110? I'll buy a couple today for that price.

The AimSurplus was a pre-order deal. I learned about it after the fact.
Typically the G2S goes for around $140.00 and the RRA around $85.00 new.

Might have been nice to see that in Buyer Intel when it was still pertinent.

The Geissele is without a doubt worth it.

The RRA are decent triggers and if set up correct, they are a very good value for a decent trigger. Personally, I think the Gs are over-hyped and over-priced, so the only ones I have owned were off prize tables. I have since removed them and sold them.

If I wanted a better trigger than the RRA, I would get a Jard 2 stage. Better than both, and you can get an adjustable version: http://www.jardinc.com/index.php?opt...stage&Itemid=6

The Rock River is a good trigger but I have had one fail.
