Which .22LR revolver to get?

I shot the small frame DA Ruger earlier this year and I liked it. The Single-Six are nice guns too.

Figure out what your going to do with it before you buy. Some models have speed loader options and some don't. This matters for practice and games. Drilled and tapped for a scope mount if you decide to get one?
I'm not a fan of 22 wheel guns if there the same size as a center fire gun such as a 38 spl.
S&W will still be a good choice ten years from now. No buyers remorse.

Its just to mix it up with my other revolvers. I shoot alot of .38/.357 and really like the older smiths.

Want double action, don't need a scope, would like more then 6 shots especially if it is recent production, stainless would be a plus but not necessary.

Now your talking, I am looking for a collector quality K22 in the 1949-50 date to match with my K38 from 1949. Personally of those two, I would pick the second one for $400, all matching numbers including grips. The pre 17, 5 screw, 6" barrel K frame 22's are sweet shooters, and always worth more when you sell them if all numbers match.

You cannot go wrong with a Smith K22, aka Model 17 and Model 18.

With .22's, it all boils down to what you want to spend. There are a LOT of options across the price spectrum. Ruger Single Six or Ten, or Smith 617, for instance. I have an old Single Six but I'd love to have a 617 or something like that. I've never pulled the trigger on a Taurus that I wanted to pull again. There may be some that are okay, I just haven't seen one. (I haven't tried that many, in the spirit of full-disclosure).

The 94 is not bad. I don't like the double action, but the design makes the hammer pull easy enough. It's a fun little gun, but you can't compare it to a S&W revolver. It just isn't made for such a comparison at all. I think I paid under $300, which was the entire draw. I've spent more on a scope.
