    Well finally got around to trying this boiling thing and it did not shrink! Yes I'm trying to go from a spiles tube to a kak just as the person did in the instructions posted above. Even tried boiling twice, 10 min the first time and boiled for 20 min the second time allowing to cool to room remp each time. Fits the same as when I started. Also compared to a brand new Sig brace which fits nice and tight on the Kak tube. Oh well, nothing a little grip lock won't fix. I'm not buying another new one!

    Not sure how much play there is but I have used White Rain hair spray to affix grips on bikes for years. This is bouffant hair glue.

    Ah the I'm butch but comfortable stuff. . Another option would be a few light strips / beads of silicone.

    Actually the electrical tape did the trick. Fits tight but could wrestle it back off if you really needed to. Thanks for the idea Jim!
