    Default Larimer County Preparedness Guide

I thought some may be interested in this document. I haven't had time to review it yet.

Not bad for what it is I guess. Extremely short on information (as in, nonexistent) about man-made disasters (i.e. riots d/t POTUS-inspired-racial-outrage, EMP, biological warfare, etc...). Also, no mention that I saw of personal defense from others (other than the helpful "don't be a hero" BS). Maybe your firearms are included under Basic Tools. That'd be the first thing I would grab (in addition to what we are already carrying of course)...

I skimmed it, there are some decent info in there. Heck if it takes a PSA from a county to get people thinking about preparedness, I am all for it. Less people I have to turn away when they come to my door asking for handouts. I would rather use the ammo on real bad guys.

El Paso county has published some fairly decent preparedness documents in the past and they used to have a whole website for it. I'll see if I can dig any of it up.

Edit: found it! It looks a bit different than I remember, but it looks like there are some decent (stereotypical) resources there.

Here is Boulder CO's site: http://boulderoem.com/

Just looked through their disaster preparedness guide - covers all kinds of disasters including natural, terrorism, and WMDs. Lots of checklists for all kinds of prep, but nowhere in the doc a single mention of a firearm. Not really surprised.
