2005 vw passat tdi automatic triptonic transmission help
I need to find a used one. Mine died 😞. It would be greatly appreciated if anybody here could help me source one at a reasonable price. A rebuilt appears to cost as much as the car is worth.

Tanks. That gives me something to evaluate. Aamco gave me a pretty good phone response. I'll have to review their warranty.
Here's my opinion.
If youre 600 miles from home and your transmission dies in a Aamco parking lot, WALK home.
There are many horror stories out there from Aamco.
Yeah stay the hell away from Aamco. Find a transmission shop that knows what there doing and let them rebuild it.
Cal Hardey at hardeysmotorworks.com in Parker. He may have a parts car or can possibly help you find something. He's also got a good trans guy on sub.
