Default Blacking out rear night sites

I have a set of true glow night sights on my G 17, for some reason my eyes keep concentrating on the rear two dots instead of the front site. I was wondering if anybody else has this problem? And would it be a dumb idea to blacking out the rear two dots? I know the simple answer would be to buy some Warren tactical sites, but I don't have the money right this second any input would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Put the stock Glock rear site back on it and use Sharpie to black out the white.

Just put electrical tape over rear dots. Pretty common issue especially if rear is same brightness and color.

Puttinh on on stock rear is a bad idea unless you can confirm same height. Just helped a friend with this issue- she was running TRIJICON HD front and stock rear- not a compatible combo as rear for the TRIJICON set is taller than stock. Shots very high at 10yd.

I mi don't mind not having illuminated rear, but when I run them I buy dimmed yellow in back and bright green HD front

It's for this reason I prefer the bladed black rear site.

I do not have the original back ones anymore, do you think I would be okay just to use a sharpie on the two glow dots in the rear site?

I have also seen people run the warrants tactical all black, black front post, with the blackout rear. Is there any advantage to that?

Why ruin night sights with a sharpie? Just buy the ones you want when you can, and sell the night sights to recoup your cost.

I agree with this. A set of Truglo sights just sold on here for $60 if I'm not mistaken, good luck getting anything if you take a sharpie to them.

Try it with a dry erase marker first and see if it fixes your problem. If it works and you want to sharpie them you can always wipe it off with alcohol and not damage the sights.
