    Sad part is the tubes are probably worth some $$ to collectors of fine old equipment. Finding said collectors is the hard part.

    I still remember pulling tubes, going to the electronics store, testing them and buying new ones. Ahh, the good ol days.

    You do realize "tube" refers to the CRT, and not actual vacuum tubes, right? No vacuum tubes (triodes, etc) to be had in televisions made after the late 1970s.

    When I was trying to get rid of a 50" they wanted $80 at the dump. I had a friend visiting from NY that had a good idea...go to WM and wait for a truck to park with an Odumba sticker. They go in and come back to find they've won a 50" TV!!!
