Default 2010 Ford F-250 Electrical Question

So, like the subject says, I got a 2010 Ford F-250 XL 6.4L PSD that I bought last year and have noticed some things about the electrical setup in the truck that I am not sure is by design or has been changed that way:

    1) The interior lights of the cab do not come on when the doors are opened. The lights have two rocker switches, one for the drivers side and the other for the passenger side. The switches only have two positions, on/off, you can turn the rocker on and the light comes on, but when turned to the off position the light stays off. I think it is odd that the light doesn't come on automatically with the door.

    2) When the cab doors are opened the exterior parking lamps come on for about 2 minutes. When I use the keyless remote they also come on and stay on for about 2 minutes. Again, I think this is a programming feature but I am not sure if it came from the factory that way.

    3) Lastly, the exterior cargo light above the rear window does not come on. The third break light works, and yes I checked the bulbs with a meter and they are good bulbs. According to the manual, the instrument light dimmer switch also controls the cargo light, you move it all the way up and then it should click to turn the cargo light on, but it does not work.

    Thoughts?

The interior lights are the same on my 2001 Ranger.

    1) Sounds like someone disabled the door switch so the doors can be left open with the light off. ("Where else is the dog supposed to sleep" is what my friend used to say)

    2) This is a factory feature, perfectly normal.

    3) I believe the cargo light is tied in with the door switches. (Could be wrong, was this way on older models) but this could be a result of the switch tampering.

I believe that you can program or unprogram those features in your settings screen on your dash.
I don't have my manuals in front of me ,but if you pm me your vin I can run it on my Ford site at work and download the complete instructions and operating procedures for that.

That's what I thought too, but I think the switches are still wired and working because after the truck is turned off, the radio will stay on until the door is opened and then shut off, so that tells me that the switch is still working. I'm hoping the dome light is just a programmable feature that can be turned on and off.
