In a perfect world....nice to have understanding police officers on our side.

If I was pulling somebody over I would be ecstatic to know the person had gone through an extensive enough of a background check to get a CCW. It would improve your chance that he's not a hot head or ex-con or general dirt bag. I imagine after a while as a cop you start to realize CCW carries are generally well behaved people. I hope more cops would act as this guy did and be a little appreciative of CCW's.
Can you imagine what the conversation would be like if a passenger filming this in the car pulled over was from Bloomberg's Every Clown and saw this realizing cops actually could trust somebody with a gun and only gave them a warning.

I bought my Winchester from an FBI agent in Glenwood Springs. When I told him I had a permit and was wearing a 1911 he smiled, shook my hand and thanked me for being "one of the good guys". That whole experience was odd, I had no idea he was an agent until we got off the elevator to go to his office and saw the "FBI Field Office" sign on the door. Helluva nice guy though.
Also got stopped one night in Centennial for a sobriety check (they used some other BS reason to stop me) and one of the officers saw my exposed 1911 on my hip. They didn't give me any shit, just watched me carefully and asked me to keep my hands on the wheel while we chatted and my license/permit was ran. The whole thing was a non-issue, pretty much making sure I wasn't a drunk out at 2-3am or whatever it was. Just coming home from work was all.

These are the cops we need and deserve. It would be nice to hear these stories more often.
