Default remote start and a new deck

99 f250 auto. Pw pl. Diesel. 2.0 sized deck.

I want to be able to remote start have a backup camera and gps. Without a bunch of cords. aux in would be nice. All other features other than am fm are useless unless the backup cam can be a dash cam.

Car toys wants nearly a grand..

A grand with the remote start? Price isnt too bad.

A decent double din dvd player runs $400ish, install kit and harness, $30, camera, $20-40, remote start- $150-$200 with all the stuff to make it work. Add a bit here and there for heatshrink, zip ties, and a bypass (depending on deck) if you want to use any video in motion other than the camera in reverse (illegal)
You'll probably want a remote start with a turbo timer, because why not.

I would look through crutchfield and price match from there. I have a pioneer avh-x8500bhs in mine, and a buddy has a kenwood something in his. Both work fine. Bluetooth hands free and streaming, camera hookups, preouts and all that. You dont have to get the namebrand cameras for the deck, any of them should work, although if you go super cheap, you may run into issues with moisture.
I am going to use a viper 2 way remote start on mine. Its nice to get the confirmation tones when it starts.

Crutch field isn't always the cheapest. I paid $160 for a new amp for my truck from flea bay and CF was $299. Shop around.

I like crutchfield's products and services, but in my experience they are rarely the cheapest.

Amazon has a AVH-x4700BS for $311 (prime). The bypass to use video while not in park is $15. (you dont need one for rear camera).

    Looks like a decent unit.

It doesn't appear to have navigation.

True. Missed that you wanted that.

This is one case where Crutchfield may come out cheaper, as the deck should include the mounting plate and harness from them. Would have to see what that stuff costs for your truck.

Crutchfield was $450 for the clarion

Right now I have an inverter. Gps. Phone charger. Mp3 and cords. trailer brake controller. I want a rear camera for hooking up trailers. Adding a dash cam and 3 aux wired 12v plugs (2 I have are hot always). Then the chip I want...

The cords are out of hand and snag on everything.

Hardwirirng the gps backup cam and inverter. Getting rid of the tape deckand its adapter to mp3. Adding guages to the pillar.
