I have owned this for years and have not figured out what to turn it in to. Its a gantry that was originally used as a pipetting system. I have thought that it could be a 3d printer or a foam cutter or a kydex router. Any ideas?

Its window of motion is about 28" x 18" x 6". Its all nema 23 steppers that drive gear belts, the X axis is dual drive. Its built on an extruded aluminum with hardened steel ways and what i believe to be recirculating ball carriages.
