Default What do i build with this... (cnc project)

I have owned this for years and have not figured out what to turn it in to. Its a gantry that was originally used as a pipetting system. I have thought that it could be a 3d printer or a foam cutter or a kydex router. Any ideas?

Its window of motion is about 28" x 18" x 6". Its all nema 23 steppers that drive gear belts, the X axis is dual drive. Its built on an extruded aluminum with hardened steel ways and what i believe to be recirculating ball carriages. Click image for larger version.

Looks like a mini CNC router. Where'd you get it from?
If the Odds are equal, you're doing it wrong

I bought it from an electronics surpluser in boulder, maybe 10 years ago. They did say it came from a pharmaceutical lab.

I have NO idea, but it's way cool, and I want one!

Wait, if I want one I can get one from Kazoo, I'm sure he has one laying around somewhere.

Looks like a slide stainer set up. The range of motion makes me think of a Sakura-finetek 601.

Yeah, seeing the Legos...maybe I was wrong. Can you make a Lego 80% lower with that?
